Jennifer Lehr is the author of PARENTSPEAK: What’s Wrong with How We Talk to Children and What to Say Instead, a book Alfie Kohn hails as a “substantive and subversive message of respect for kids.” Lehr has written for the Wall Street Journal, The Huffington Post, Good Housekeeping, Babble and Natural Parent Magazine. A child advocate, educator and coach, Jennifer gives talks and workshops for faculty and staff of daycare centers, preschools and elementary schools. She was recently a guest speaker in the Women and Gender Studies department at California State University of Northridge where ParentSpeak was being studied.
